Using this tool
Enter an image width and height to simplify its ratio, or select a common format and provide one dimension to calculate the other. You can choose a local image to detect its pixel dimensions and compare how crop and fit would place it inside the target frame.
Step-by-step help
Reading the output
A 1920 x 1080 image simplifies to 16:9. If a new 16:9 design is 1280 pixels wide, the matching height is 720 pixels. A 1080 x 1350 social image simplifies to 4:5.
Simplified ratio = width and height divided by their greatest common divisor. Missing height = known width x ratio height / ratio width. Missing width uses the inverse calculation.
Before relying on the result
No. The browser reads its dimensions and creates the preview on your device.
16:9 is common for landscape video and 9:16 is common for vertical video, but the destination platform should determine the final format.
It calculates dimensions and previews framing. Use the Image Compressor when you need to export a resized image file.
