UUPSC Photo & Signature Resizer

Prepare an uploaded UPSC photograph or signature with editable dimensions and file-size limits.

Check the active noticeUPSC now uses uploaded and live photographs in many forms. The active form instructions are authoritative; edit these fields to match them.

ToolOrbit checks dimensions and file size only. It cannot guarantee that a portal will accept the image.

Using this tool

Let the active form set the limits

Choose the uploaded photo or signature preset, then replace the starting values with the exact limits shown by the current UPSC form. Many current forms also require a separate live photograph that an offline resizer cannot create for you.

Reading the output

Uploaded files do not replace live capture

Worked example

An uploaded signature below its limit

If the form requests a signature under 100 KB, select Signature, enter its stated dimensions and size range, then use Fit on white so no writing is cropped from the output.

Calculation

Editable resizing and JPEG compression

ToolOrbit redraws the image at the chosen width and height and adjusts JPEG encoding quality to meet the maximum size while preserving as much detail as the limit permits.

Limitations

Current instructions are authoritative

  • Follow the active UPSC form rather than an older tutorial or screenshot.
  • Complete any required live-photo capture separately inside the official form.
  • Check that the face or signature remains clear after compression.

Before relying on the result

UPSC uploads and live photos

Does this handle UPSC live photo capture?

No. It prepares uploaded JPG files only. Complete live capture directly in the official application when requested.

Why are the dimensions editable?

UPSC instructions and application types can change, so the active form must determine the final values.
